Part-Time Volunteer Role Available

To act as the Manager of the Institute of Financial Integrity and Sustainability ASBL, Luxembourg. IFIS is a forum to promote integrity and sustainability practices in financial institutions and markets, bringing together practitioners from financial institutions and other stakeholders from within and outside Luxembourg. Our main activity is the organisation of thought-leadership events and conferences for members and non-members.

Duties will include:

  • To interact with the Chair and members of the Board in executing the mission and strategy of IFIS in the organisation of events.

  • To develop potential avenues for further strategies leading to the enhancement of the performance of IFIS relative to its mission.

  • To manage, supervise and collaborate actively with the Administration Services Officer (freelance) in the organisation of the affairs and events of IFIS.

  • To research and recruit speakers for IFIS events, including but not limited to:

    • Luncheon conferences

    • Evening events such as panel discussions and conference dinners

    • Other events as may be discussed and agreed with the Board.

  • Supervise, verify, and approve, payments, and regulatory registrations.

  • Host IFIS events as facilitator, as required.

  • Establish relationships to the members of the board and corporate members not represented on the board with a view to further collaboration.

 

Requirements

The candidate should have good understanding for and /or experience of:

  • Administrative and personnel management

  • Events organisation

  • Relationship management

  • Business management reporting

  • And fluency in English

 

The candidate should have the time and commitment to dedicate a minimum of one day a week to the function on a volunteer basis. The position offers excellent networking opportunities in a high-quality content environment.

The candidate should be willing to confirm their intention to pursue this role for a minimum of one year. It should be noted that IFIS has a breakeven to modest financial profit objective and the position is not remunerated.

The role would demand of the candidate to be collaborative and relationship oriented. They would be keen to initiate new ideas and have the energy and desire to see them through to a conclusion.
